Solutions:

1. The difference increases in successive terms by 2 places and so, the difference has to be 14. So, option a is correct.

2. Option b.

3. Let total work be 60 units. S + J = 6 units per day, J + L = 4 units per day and S + L = 5 units per day. So, we get the individual units to be L = 2.5, J = 1.5 and S = 4.5. So, As 15 units have been done, we have 45 units to be completed at the rate of 6 units per day. So, 7.5 days more required. Option d.

4. Option b.

5. 1.25x – 0.7x = 22. So, x = 40. Option c.

6. Option a.

7. x/5 + 4 = x/4 – 10, x = 120. Option d.

8. Option b. The units place digit is 0 and so, the number will be divisible by 10.

9. Using statement 1, we cannot say about the status of b. Using statement b, we can say that a is greater than b. But, b can be either positive or negative. Even combining both the statements, nothing can be concluded. So, option d.

10. Option c.

11. 140000 over 22 days. So, average will be 6363.6 and so, option a.

12. As both the primes will be odd, the sum and the difference will be even. So, option d.

13. Let total work be 24 units. A does 4 units per hour, B does 3 units per hour. A, B and C do 12 units per hour and so, C will do 5 units per hour. So, C will take 24/5 = 4.8 hours to finish the work.

14. Let total units be 18. A does 6 units per hour and B does 3 units per hour. In 1 hour, 6 units is done. Remaining 12 units at the rate of 9 units/hour and so, the job will be completed at 11:20 am. Option a.

15. 61 + 67 = 128. Option a.
