1. The difference increases in successive terms by 2 places and so, the difference has to be 14. So, option a is correct.

3. Let total work be 60 units. S + J = 6 units per day, J + L = 4 units per day and S + L = 5 units per day. So, we get the individual units to be L = 2.5, J = 1.5 and S = 4.5.
