The question that was begging to be answered has been answered. And even if the JBIMS 2016-18 admission process notification is a simple one-liner, it does throw some light on the process.

JBIMS 2016-18 admission process

The JBIMS 2016-18 admission process notification simply says:

Admission for Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai for two years Masters in Management Studies (MMS) programme will be done through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra.  For details visit Directorate of Technical Education Website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

Now, DTE has not been conducting GD PI processes for the last couple of years now, so it seems that JBIMS would be considering the CET score only while admitting candidates. However, we advise you to wait for the DTE notification for the exact process that would be followed this year.

MBA CET 2015 was marred by a lot of glitches and discontent among the students with regard to normalization and the professionalism involved in the test taking process. With quite a few questions not being visible, there was a lot of hue and cry which led to the DTE agreeing to the presence of incomplete/wrong questions and finally retracting those questions. It would be interesting to see if JBIMS can completely bank on the test this year considering the way it was conducted in 2015.

The official communication can be seen on this link: JBIMS 2016-18 admission process notification.
