Who lost maximum amount of water as a percentage of the bucket capacity?
A.Tina
B.Mina
C.Gina
D.Lina
E. Bina
7.Ram, a farmer, managed to grow shaped- watermelons inside glass cases of different The shapes he used were: a perfect cube, hemi-spherical, cuboid, cylindrical along with the normal spherical shaped watermelons. Thickness of the skin was same for all the shapes. Each of the glass cases was so designed that the total volume and the weight of the all the water-melons would be equal irrespective of the shape.
A customer wants to but water-melons for making juice, for which the skin of the watermelon has to be peeled off, and therefore is a waste. Which shape should the customer buy?
A.Cube
B.Hemi-sphere
C.Cuboid
D.Cylinder
E.Normal spherical

Solutions:
1. LCM (3, 4, 6) will be 12. So, Jan 3, Jan 15, Jan 27 and Feb 8. Option c.
2. There has to be two 8s or three 8s. Total salary is 25 and so, there are two 8s and one 5. So, (8, 8, 5, 3, 1) is the only solution. Option a.
3. The data given is insufficient. Option e.
4. Yahoo is 250 to 1200 so percentage increase of 380% i.e. average of 190%.
Facebook is 300 to 2000 so percentage increase of 567% i.e. average of 283%.
Difference is 93% on 190% or approximately 50%. Option d.
5. Google went from 1500 to 3200. So, Facebook would have gone from 750 to x. So, x = 3200*750/1500 = 1600. Option a.
6. Let the ages be 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Let them spill 10 ml each. Let the capacities of their buckets be 100, 80, 60, 40 and 20. So, the percentage lost is the maximum for the person with the minimum capacity. So, option e.
7. For a given volume, a sphere has the least surface area. Option e.
8. 6000 -> 1200 paid -> 5100 remains -> 1200 paid -> 4155 remains. Option c.
9. Total original volume = 4/3*pi*1000.
Let the new radius be r. So, 4/3*pi*r^3*1000 = 4/3*pi*1000
So, r = 1.
Original surface area is 4*pi*100
New surface area is 4*pi*1000
So, increased to 10 times or increased by 9 times. Option e.
10. Let the capacity of the jug be x.
After the first replacement, orange juice is 10 – x and pineapple juice is x.
If another jug of the mixture is taken out, we have taken out x^2/10 of pineapple juice. So, 2x – x^2/10 is left. But this is equal to 5.
2x – x^2/10 = 5
x^2 – 20x + 50 = 0
{ 20 – sqrt(200) }/2 = 2.83. Option d.
