Solutions:

1. Simple +2 positions logic. Option a is correct.

2. STD calls for 30 minutes will be worth Rs. 45 – 60 and local calls will cost Rs. 130 for Mohan. Rohan spends Rs. 27 – 36 on STD and Rs. 168 on local calls. So, the total cost for Mohan will vary from 175 – 190 and that for Rohan will vary from 195 – 204. Either way, Mohan has spent less than Rohan for sure. Option b.

3. Rs. 1.5 is being charged for a local SMS at the moment. So, if we look at the options, we get that the costs will be 57, 60, 90 and 88.5 respectively. If we compare them to the fresh rates, we get 57.8, 59, 71 and 70.4 respectively. We could have stopped at the first figure itself anyway and so, the answer will be option a.

4. Option d does not add up to 199. Remember to add the rental amount as well in this question.

5. Cannot be determined. Option d.

6. Option c.

7. Option a.

8. Option b.

9. Option d.

10. Option d as a fruit grows on a tree and tree is coded as sky.

11. The middle number is half the product of the two numbers on the ends. Option b.

12. The middle number is double the product of the two numbers on the ends. Option b.

13. Option a is right away the obvious choice simply because B and G cannot be in the same boat.

14. EFAG will be attendance in the first boat. So, the remaining people are BCD. Option d.

15. Option c is correct.

16. Option c is correct. One horizontal and one vertical line removed in each case.
