A time comes in an aspirant’s preparation when one begins to wonder if what one has done is actually enough to crack the entrance test or is there something missing. What if there IS a final opportunity to iron out the flaws and get an intense workout before the test to know exactly what to expect from CAT 2015?

With mocks taking precedence and almost all of you having a pet strategy to attempt and crack CAT, it becomes increasingly difficult to go back that one step and start with the basics again especially if you are not doing well in the mocks. While replicating months of preparation is not possible during these last few days, a booster session certainly is.

To give that final push to your prep and keep you in good stead for not just CAT but for the other exams as well, Learningroots presents to you, a series of topic-based workshops to further enhance your readiness for the entrance season.

What exactly is going to happen?

As is true in many cases, the Pareto 80:20 principle applies to CAT as well. This essentially means that 20% of the topics will contribute to 80% of your score. Most aspirants get stuck in solving the remaining 80% of the topics/question types and end up losing out on easy pickings simply because they are overwhelmed/overestimate the test/underestimate their ability.

To counter this, we have condensed the entire chapter into a day’s session such that all the question types that can appear in CAT are covered. Also, there will be footnotes on the topics that you can be relaxed about and the topics that you have no other option but to know.

To give you a brief example, a Permutations, Combinations and Probability session will essentially cover all the sub-topics ranging from basics of permutations and combinations, relation between the two, concept of probability and odds, basics of coins, dice, cards, conditional probability and its applications, both routine and special types of problems including: number of squares/rectangles in a grid, formations across collinear and non collinear points, number of paths in a grid in both normal and special cases, distribution of similar and dissimilar objects among similar or dissimilar recipients, derangements, properties of polynomials including number of terms, and power/coefficient of terms, etc. plus a note on the question types that one can expect in CAT 2015.

Also, all the students who enroll for even a single session will receive complementary last minute handbooks for Quant, Verbal and GK. Plus, we have a bonus deal for those who enroll for the entire series in the form of a complementary comprehensive video course.

Who are these sessions for?

We are sure it will be useful to all CAT 2015 applicants but if you fall under one of the below mentioned categories, there is all the more reason for you to hop on.
1) Someone who has been preparing on his/her own and needs a quick, final evaluation of the basic concepts and sufficient time to process the missed ones just in case
2) Those interested in dealing with the mental aspect of the CAT in addition to the concept part (We have some strategy experts in-house who will help you understand whether or not you need to attempt a question even if you know the concept, preferences when it comes to attempting among a bunch of questions and so on)
3) Those who have been doing well throughout the season and need that last bit of boost to their prep
