MBA CET 2017 update: DTE has announced the tentative dates for MAH MBA CET 2017.
In the latest circular dated November 21st, DTE has given the tentative dates for MAH MBA CET 2017 as 4th and 5th of March 2017. As always, the announcement says that these are tentative dates.
Aspiring candidates may note that this is the tentative schedule and State CET Cell reserves every right to change the schedule under unavoidable circumstances. Detail and final schedule of each CET will be published from time to time with its activities schedule in selected newspapers and on the website http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in
As CET generally happens in the month of March, this announcement doesn’t offer any surprise. The official notification should be released in December/January. Assuming this goes as per the plan, aspirants have about 100 days to prepare. Keeping in mind the amount of practice required to crack MBA CET, I have created a preparation plan for MBA CET 2017. If you stick to this plan, you will be putting in about 260+ hours of preparation with more than 8000 solved questions.
How to use this preparation plan?
The advantage of the plan is that there are sufficient buffers in between as one may not take 2 days to complete a topic. In such a case, you can use that time to finish some of the earlier topics. This will happen especially if you are encountering this post late and starting your preparation in December or January.
Topics are clubbed under Areas Quant, Verbal, Logic & Reasoning. The next part is Questions to be solved. From every topic, you need to solve at least 40 questions of various types. These questions can be solved without any time limit to get a firm grasp of the subject. You can also time yourself for 30 minutes and solve 40 questions from the topic. You might not be able to do the whole set and if that happens, after the stipulated 30 minutes, sit for more time and solve the remaining questions.
The plan also includes 20 mocks spaced evenly in the first 50 and the last 50 days. With this plan, you should be able to do 20 full length mocks (20*200 = 4000 Questions) which is good enough. It is important to analyze each and every mock (will post an article on mock analysis) and keep a track of your progress. Needless to say, one can always put in more efforts and do more questions per day and take more mocks.
